The tour starts at the Coastal Museum Norveg and continues with the Salmon Center Rørvik on the boat MS Sunniva out into the archipelago. Here, you will experience modern aquaculture up close. After an introduction to aquaculture, it's time to enjoy the atmosphere of the historic fishing village of Sør-Gjæslingan.
In approximately four hours, you will gain insight into how the sea's resources have shaped our identity for centuries and continue to be the foundation of the region's main industry and Norway's second-largest export industry.
The best place to learn about Norwegian aquaculture is out on the fish farm edge. Here, you will get to see the salmon up close and witness the production process firsthand. In Sør-Gjæslingan, you will hear the history of the old fishing village and enjoy a warm seafood lunch made with local products from the Namdal coast.
The boat trip itself is an experience, passing many of the region's islets and skerries.
