Parking: Just above Torghatten camping. Follow signs to Torghatten from Brønnøysund (12 km).

Difficulty: Easy walk, but a little bit steep. 15 - 20 minutes. Marked trail.

Alternative walks: There are trails going both around the mountain and over the mountain. Going through the hole makes a nice round trip (approx. 1 - 1,5 hours) See map.

Geologists believe that the hole in Torghatten cameinto being after an ice age. Various legends tell a differentstory. Perhaps coastal Norway’s most famous landmarkand situated just outside Brønnøysund, The 160 mlong, 35 m high and 15 m wide hole is impressive.
