Engen Skyssbåt

Engen Skyssbåt (boat service) brings you accross the Holandsfjord with MS Isprins. If you want to get close to Norway's second largest glacier, this is the easiest way to achieve it. The trip across the fjord takes only 10 minutes. Bikes can be rented upon arrival at the dock on the Svartisen side of the fjord. You will find more information regarding bike rentals here.

The trip over the Holandsfjord runs from Holandsvika, along Kystriksveien Fv17, between Glomfjord and Halsa. When you arrive at the dock at Svartisen you can either choose to walk all the way to the ice edge (about 50 minutes) or you can rent a bicycle from Engen Skyssbåt. There is a road almost all the way, but the last part goes on rocks and must be done by foot. The last part is uphill and a bit steep. 

Along the road (20 min from the dock) towards Svartisen you can visit Brestua for lunch, coffee or dinner.
