The World Heritage Center is located with fantastic views of the archipelago. Experience the exhibition "Wild beautiful Vega", watch the film about Vega, and learn about the special interaction with the wild eider birds as domestic animals.
The main exhibition in the center tells about the history of Vegaøyan, from the Stone Age to the present day. You get to hear about the islanders' lives and the eider tradition through personal guiding that goes to fixed times every day. If you wish, you can also be guided through the exhibition with an audio guide.
In addition, you can visit temporary exhibitions that illuminate the world heritage in different ways.
During the visit you can also explore the path around the center, which has vantage points in all directions.
Elsewhere in the center there is a gift shop, with a good selection of exciting literature and other fine products, and tourist information.
The World Heritage Café is located in the center. Here you can enjoy a good meal with a sea view.
