What is Kystriksveien?
Kystriksveien goes by several names in English. Besides the original, Kystriksveien, the coastal road or the coastal route, or even Fv17 (short for Fylkesvei 17) are common. The county road Fv 17 starts at Asp just north of Steinkjer in Trøndelag, and ends at Løding, 15 kilometres east of the center of Bodø. However, the Kystriksveien as a term encompasses more than the road stretch Fv 17. Kystriksveien is also the exciting detours and the numerous islands along the coast!
Kystriksveien is a stretch of road, but not one you travel to get from A to B as quickly as possible. A travel along Kystriksveien is about enjoying the scenery, experiencing and exploring the coastal nature, history and culture. On these pages, we want to inspire you to travel slowly and experience more of this beautiful part of the Norwegian coast.
Who is Kystriksveien Reiseliv
We market Kystriksveien as a whole, and publish the annual travel guide. This is a free brochure where we present anyone offering accommodation, catering and experiences along Kystriksveien. We have also published several books about Kystriksveien.

We offer our own tours
In the summer of 2022, we started offering our own tours. We carried out 10 cycle tours on the Helgeland coast, in addition to two different bus tours along Kystriksveien. In the summer of 2023, we will expand our offer; offering various bike tours, an exclusive cruise on the Helgeland coast, and ready-made packages for road trips.
